Photography is an integral part of my identity. A driving passion in

its own right, it weaves itself into all aspects of my life, especially my love of music and travel. Each of these has shaped my story and influenced how I tell stories through the lens.

Music teaches narrative, expressiveness, message, and moment. It shows me that you have to work hard to make it seem effortless. You have to be ready for the magic moment.

As for travel, the best experiences are always the unexpected ones. Have a plan, if only for the ability to deviate from it. Be open to what unfolds before you, drink it in, become part of it. And unless you have a train to catch, never check your watch.

I spent most of the last twenty years in Los Angeles. In addition to my

private clients, I worked for publications including Muscle & Fitness, Dog’s Life Magazine, and Malibu Beach. As the photographer for the Santa Monica Pier’s Twilight Dance Series, I had the rare opportunity to photograph some of today’s most intriguing musical acts up close, including Los Lobos, Bettye LaVette, Mavis Staples, and Patti Smith.
